New 2017 Honda Civic Coupe at Bosak Honda MC for Michigan City, IN

The Civic Coupe was meaningfully redesigned in the previous year, and appears ready to burn pavement in a tenacious heat of well-stocked sedans. The Honda Civic, beginning in 2017, becomes obtainable with a turbocharged 1.5-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, for every coupe trim. The Civic Coupe has tuned driving systems inherent but also remains comfortable inside. The 2017 Civic Coupe has truly entered 2017 with a wide range of model selections and configurations, and adds a little something for everyone– whether they are die-hard racing enthusiasts, steadfast commuters, regular city navigators or even first-time Honda owners.

Under the Civic Coupe’s Hood

A 174-HP 1.5L turbocharged engine can be put with a manual transmission as standard (or with an optional CVT). This same engine acquires 158 horsepower and spins up to 138 lb-ft of torque. There are dual separate Continuously Variable Transmissions available that pair up to specific model levels, or there can be the manual transmission instead. Honda will provide the Civic Coupe, for 2017, with a new drivetrain combination of a 6-speed manual transmission (or an available CVT) added to the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The turbocharged engine sees 174 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque with the manual transmission, and with the CVT it goes to 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. There are fully independent suspensions available as well as standard MacPherson struts supporting a lightweight, strong body structure.

Design of Honda Civic Coupe

The LX trim puts many features into the mix, like 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, and a five-inch color LCD screen. The LX-P builds upon that with push button start, a remote engine starter, Smart Entry, and a single-touch power moonroof. There are 5 trims for the 2017 Civic Coupe: the LX, EX-L, LX-P, EX-T, and the Touring. The EX-T has the features within the LX and then gains 17-inch alloy wheels, the Honda ‘Lanewatch’ system, Apple Carplay / Android Auto, a seven-inch touchscreen, the new turbocharged engine, and an HD Radio. The EX-L trim enters the fray with all those features and puts in refining items such as an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-trimmed seating, and shift-knob that is also leather-wrapped. The even-driving Touring trim encompasses the features mentioned so far then puts in LED headlights (with auto on/off), 450-watt, 10-speaker premium audio system, a satellite-linked navigation system, and the ‘Honda Sensing’ technology.

Conclusions

Safety items contained within the Coupe are a multi-angle rearview camera, an ACE body structure, 3-point seat belts, LED daytime running lights, the Latch system, front- and side-curtain airbags, ABS brakes, and brake assist. Available safety features on the EX-T and up are made up of the ‘Honda Lanewatch’ system and dynamic guidelines show up for the rearview camera. The Touring trim allows these items then begins installing more like Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC), the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and an array of assistive tech via the Honda Sensing component. Last year’s fully redesigned Civic left little to add, but Honda has again pulled a victory with the 2017 Civic features and capabilities.
